Open source. Self host whenever you want.

The whole stack lives on GitHub, under klausbreyer/imaedge. If you want your own instance, take it. There is also a small WordPress importer for pushing a finished collection into a WordPress gallery.

It cannot stay free forever.

Storage and bandwidth cost money, so at some point this needs a way to pay for itself. The promise here is narrow: whatever was started under the current rules stays under the current rules. Existing collections will not be monetized after the fact, gated behind a paywall, or held hostage. New behavior, if any, applies to new things.

No guarantees.

This is a personal experiment. Treat it as one. Keep your own copy of anything you care about. There is no SLA, no support contract, no payment, and no insurance against the day a single mistake on my side takes it offline.
